The RPYC
Bowlers, otherwise known as The DockWallopers,
gathered in the Bridge Room at the Club after
their final day of regular winter season
friendly team bowling on Tuesday, April 11th,
for the annual Bowling Banquet. After a spirited
happy hour, the bowlers sat down to either Prime
Rib or Grouper Royal Palm, before Audrey Ramsay,
our bowling secretary, presided over the award
ceremony. By unanimous consent, all of the usual
monetary gift awards were donated to charity,
and the winners received award certificates
which were the product of Gordon Ramsay's
computer. Winning categories included the No.1
team, men's and ladies' high scratch and
handicap games, and most improved bowlers.
Summer bowling begins Tuesday afternoon at
3:30pm at Galaxy Lanes on Fowler Avenue. There
still are team openings as well as a substitute
roster so if you are interested in joining this
fun group for summer (as well as winter)
bowling, please call Audrey Ramsay at 334-4183
and sign up now! You can see by the
accompanying pictures that The Dockwallopers are
a really fun loving group. What you don't see is
the mediocre scores we generally turn in. Which
goes to show you that you don't have to be a
champion bowler to have fun with The
Dockwallopers!
