The
Keys and More Cruise
|
|
This 22 day cruise
that covered about 550 miles with
stops at 10 different ports of call
went very smoothly and kept on
schedule the whole trip in spite of
several long jaunts in open water.
The weather cooperated beautifully
with lots of sunshine, warm
temperatures, and constant breezes.

The toughest leg of
the journey was the second day when
we traveled from Marco Island YC to
Marathon. We had stiff winds in our
face with 3-5 foot seas. It was
particularly tough on the Mitchells,
who took 27 hours to motor on their
sailboat from Cape Coral to
Marathon…they get the award for
being the hardiest crew!!!
