Four boats from RPYC headed to Venice Yacht Club on Friday, July 9^th.  They included Fleet Captain Phil Johnston and first mate Ann aboard Impetuous (who made their usual memorable arrival), Rick and Lindsey Scheinert aboard Boomer, new members Tim and Jan Kraus aboard Full Circle, and Cruise Leaders Len and Chris Burger aboard Christina.   Due to some last minute cruise cancellations, dockage space remained available, so the suggestion was made to contact some wait listed members, and as a result Jim and Bonnie Barnhart agreed to join the group on Saturday morning.  After some pool time, Friday evening most of the group participated in the weekly poolside buffet, while others decided to enjoy the comfort of the inside dining room.  After dinner some of the group walked the Venice Inlet Breakwall to watch a lovely sunset, returning to the Club to experience the breathtaking sight of Phil Johnston’s underwater blue lights (again for some of us).  On Saturday morning Chris and Len made a pancake and sausage breakfast with all the trimmings.  Jim and Bonnie arrived just in time to enjoy it as well, and everyone spent the afternoon swimming and enjoying the beautiful weather.  Before dinner, Rick and Lindsey hosted everyone for docktails on their wonderful air conditioned aft deck.  Chris made Margaritas, and Lindsey prepared Bahama Mamas.  Following docktails, everyone headed to The Crow’s Nest for dinner, where all enjoyed their meal and conversation in the privacy of the Crow’s Nest Wine Room – truly a lovely and quiet experience.   Following dinner, most of the group enjoyed some lively conversation around the pool deck prior to turning in for the night.   On Sunday cruise leaders Chris and Len provided a continental breakfast prior to departure.  The Krauses and Barnharts returned home, while the Burgers, Scheinerts, and Johnstons headed to The Field Club for continued adventures.
